Netflix has released a new trailer for ‘The Mosquito Bowl,’ an upcoming war drama directed by Peter Berg that follows four of America’s top college football stars as they trade sporting fame for military service in the aftermath of Pearl Harbour.

Following the devastating attack on Pearl Harbour, the four athletes put their promising football careers aside to enlist in the US Marines. As they prepare for the brutal invasion of Okinawa, they find themselves part of a legendary football game featuring some of the greatest players in the sport’s history. But with the realities of war looming, the game will become a final outing for many of the men who take to the field.

Blending the world of college football with the devastating realities of the Second World War, ‘The Mosquito Bowl’ tells the story of young men whose courage would be tested far beyond the sporting arena. With the invasion of Okinawa approaching, the game takes on a significance that extends well beyond the final score.

Directed by Peter Berg, the film stars Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson, Tom Francis, Brent Comer, Dominic Bogart, Jack Ingram, Ella Newton, Lola Bond, Stacy Clausen, Billy Smith, Steven Sammut, Blake Erickson, Claudia Ware and Pat McAfee. Berg also appears in the cast.
