Taylor Swift wore a custom, strapless silver-grey Dior gown to the Sixth Annual Academy Museum Gala on October 17, 2026. Jonathan Anderson, who designed her wedding gown, also designed this pleated look, with a crystal bow and a long crystal ribbon running down the front. It was her first appearance at the gala, held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

Swift wore her shoulder-length hair in curls and posed full-length for photographers. Her Chopard Haute Joaillerie jewelry included platinum drop earrings with 32.40 carats of diamonds, a 5.78-carat diamond ring and a bracelet with 5.04 carats of diamonds.

She later changed into a sequined cobalt-blue dress to close the gala with 4 songs, backed by 4 singers and a band with guitar, bass, 2 saxophone players, keyboards and drums. The set included “Blank Space” and the live debut of “The Fate of Ophelia,” as well as “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5 and “Love Story.” The set list had been kept private before the event; accounts differ on the order of the last 2 songs.

The gala raised money for the museum’s film preservation, exhibitions and education programs. John Carpenter received the Luminary Award, Charlize Theron the Icon Award and Colman Domingo the Vantage Award. Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw, Tom Ford and Robert Rodriguez were co-chairs.

Swift’s husband, Travis Kelce, didn’t attend. His Kansas City Chiefs were scheduled to play the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 18.
