SCHLIEREN, SWITZERLAND — Aryzta has entered into a strategic partnership with Brinker Bakery, a Herne, Germany-based artisan baking company whose products include fresh rolls, pastries and frozen bakery products.

As part of the arrangement, Aryzta will “take over” the frozen bakery products business and associated business-to-business customer activities of Brinker. Aryzta also will permanently offer selected Brinker products and take charge of the logistical supply of Brinker’s retail outlets, Aryzta said.

“This partnership enables us to focus our efforts on our core strengths in artisan baking, our retail stores and our regional fresh delivery business,” Brinker said. “At the same time, our customers will benefit from a strong and efficient supply chain.”

Brinker said the partnership will allow it to focus on the production and sale of fresh bakery products through its approximately 70 company-owned retail stores.
