The Hamilton Philharmonic (Ontario, Canada) has announced the three-year renewal of James S. Kahane’s contract as Music Director, extending it to June 2030.Born in Paris, France, in 1995, Kahane trained as an orchestral conducting at the renowned Sibelius Academy under the tutelage of Sakari Oramo, Atso Almila and Hannu Lintu.
Kahane is a founding member and Principal Conductor of the Helsinki Chamber Orchestra, and serves as Principal Conductor of the Orchestre de Chambre de la Drôme.
