MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. Kirill Dmitriev, Russian President’s Special Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and chief executive of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), expressed the opinion that US President Donald Trump wants Vladimir Zelensky to seek a peaceful settlement to the conflict in Ukraine.

"President Trump wants Zelensky to want peace," Dmitriev wrote on social media platform X.

He was commenting on a statement by the US president, who noted that Ukraine and Zelensky need to seek a settlement to the conflict, otherwise this would lead to serious consequences. "Zelensky has to want to settle this war, and if he doesn’t, I think it’s going to be a very bad thing," Trump said in response to reporters’ questions at the White House.
