MINSK, October 22. /TASS/. The combat capabilities of the regional grouping of forces of Belarus and Russia are being strengthened, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin has said.

"Mutual supplies of military equipment and other defense-related products are continuing, cooperation between our defense-industrial complexes is deepening, and the capabilities of the regional grouping of forces and the unified regional air defense system are being enhanced. Nuclear deterrence within the Union State is also being developed to maintain strategic parity and deter potential aggression," Khrenin said at a joint meeting of the boards of the Belarusian and Russian defense ministries.
