It seems that Battlefield 6 players will no longer be getting the Mass Effect crossover items that were expected to arrive next month. Electronic Arts (EA) and developer DICE have quietly removed the unreleased cosmetics from the game, following the closure of BioWare and the cancellation of the next Mass Effect game.

The items were first spotted in Battlefield 6’s cosmetic menus when Season 5 launched earlier in October 2026. Although they were listed as “unavailable,” fans and dataminers believed they would be released on November 7 to celebrate N7 Day, the annual event dedicated to the Mass Effect series.

However, the items have now disappeared from the game, suggesting that EA has decided not to go ahead with the planned crossover. The removal comes shortly after the company shut down BioWare, the studio behind Mass Effect, and canceled the next game in the series.

EA has not officially explained why the cosmetics were removed, but the timing suggests that the decision could be linked to the recent events surrounding BioWare. For now, it remains unclear whether the items will return at a later date or if the crossover has been canceled completely.
