A new episode of Tennessee Today with State Senator Bo Watson will be released on Monday featuring "one of Tennessee and the nation’s greatest public servants," former Governor and U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander.

In the episode, "How Lamar Alexander Became One of Tennessee's Most Respected Leaders," Senator Watson sits down with Senator Alexander to discuss the mentors who shaped his career, the setbacks that redirected his path and the leadership principles that guided his decades of public service.

Senator Alexander shares the story of being sworn in as governor three days early to ward off a pay-to-play to pardon state prisoners, reflects on lessons learned from late U.S. Senator Howard Baker about working across the aisle and explains why he has always considered himself a "result achiever" rather than a politician.
