Dancehall legend Vybz Kartel has officially surpassed 6.6 billion all-time worldwide streams as of July 19, 2026, according to data obtained by World Music Views from Billboard’s data tracking company Luminate.

Luminate aggregates its entertainment and music data through direct, first-party ingestion from thousands of global digital service providers (DSPs), including Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, SoundCloud, Deezer, TIDAL, the SiriusXM app and Amazon Music, alongside a panel of more than 4 million smart TVs and connected devices for video streaming.

For the tracking week following the release of his latest album, God Is the Greatest, from Friday, June 12, to Thursday, June 18, Kartel recorded 24.5 million worldwide streams across his catalogue.

The report further indicates that 51% of Kartel’s weekly streaming activity came from ad-supported platforms, while 49% originated from premium subscription services.

Worldwide streams declined 10% compared with the previous reporting week, which coincided with the album’s release on June 5.

Among Kartel’s most-streamed songs globally are Fever and Summer Time. Summer Time has been certified Silver in the United Kingdom for exceeding 200,000 units, while Fever has earned Gold certification in both the United States and the United Kingdom, surpassing 500,000 units and 400,000 units, respectively, through combined sales and streaming.

Fever accounts for approximately 10% of Kartel’s 1.5 billion Spotify streams, having surpassed 150 million streams on the platform.

Beyond his recordings as an artist, Kartel is also credited as a songwriter on Beyoncé’s Run the World (Girls), which has accumulated more than 700 million Spotify streams. The 2011 anthem is built around the militaristic beat and vocal samples from Major Lazer’s 2009 hit Pon De Floor, which features Kartel.

Beyoncé’s production team, including Diplo, Switch and The-Dream, sampled the track’s drum pattern and Kartel’s original deejay vocals to create the rhythmic foundation of Run the World (Girls). Because his original vocal performance is incorporated into the song, Kartel receives songwriting credit under his birth name, Adidja Palmer.
