XCOR Aerospace решила уволить часть сотрудников, которые занимались разработкой многоразового суборбитального космического корабля, чтобы сосредоточится на создании новой двигательной установки. В результате этого компания увеличила шансы осуществить первый запуск ракеты из нового семейства за счет отказа от использования вакуумной установки BE-4 и замены ее на BE-3U (ожидается установка 2 установок на второй ступени и одной на третьей). К последствиям этого решения в компании отнесли то, что теперь им придется несколько увеличить длину второй ступени.
