Спутник ФКИ. Change 2. [Редактировать]

КА Change-2 был запасным вариантом спутника Change-1, который был успешно запущен в октябре 2007 года. После технической реконструкции он будет запущен в рамках второй очереди программы изучения Луны. Главная задача Change-2 - проведение более тщательного исследования Луны для осуществления в будущем безопасной посадки на ее поверхность. В связи с этим на нем будет установлен новый лазерный альтиметр, который способен одновременно совершать измерения в пяти точках. Кроме этого, Change-2 будет совершать облет вокруг Луны на орбите высотой 100 км, а не как Change-1, который находился на окололунной орбите высотой 200 км, объяснил ученый.
