Спутник технологический. Demosat. [Редактировать]

DemoSat-демонстрационный, который выглядит как цилиндр высотой 1.95 м и диаметром 1.38 м. Проект базировался на демонстрационном ПГ, который первоначально планировалось использовать в первом полете РН Delta 4 Medium. DemoSat должен был очень близко имитировать «рабочий» КА по массе, моментам, центру масс, частотам колебания и характеристикам жесткости. Он был построен для фирмы Boeing компанией Process Fab Inc.

DemoSat II Telecon Minutes March 16, 2004 Telecon began at ~10:05 AM Those present: Bob Walch (UNC), Phil Kavanagh (Mesa), Paul Wilbur (CSU), Ted Violett (Western), Bob Knecht (Mines), Jason Roney (UCCS), and Chris Koehler (CU) Those absent: Wolfgang Sauer (CSU Pueblo) David Esker (PPCC) and Craig Tyler (FLC), and Keith Norwood (Metro) The following was the agenda that was discussed along with comments for each item. 1. Review action items from last telecon a. Progress reports: Spring Break and website problems led to missing progress reports b. Websites: CSU has one and will send it. c. CDR Guidelines: See comments below 2. CDR Information a. Guidelines: We all reviewed the guidelines on the website. No one had any major issues with them. b. Map: We all reviewed the map and directions to the review which is also on the website. There were no questions or concerns. c. Agenda: We reviewed the agenda. There were no problems. d. Participation: Everyone was encouraged to attend as much of the review as possible. Chris asked how many would be staying overnight in Boulder. Chris has reserved a block of rooms at the Boulder Outlook. The phone number is 303-443-3322. Ask for the “DemoSat CDR” group rate. It should be 69.95 with a continental breakfast. Their website is www.boulderoutlook.com Everyone was also encouraged to attend the Symposium on the morning following the review. Most indicated that they would be able to attend. March 16, 2004 Updates from Schools At this point, each member gave updates on their teams. They are summarized below: School CSU # of Students 12 Mesa 7 Metro Western 11 3 Pueblo Mines 13 10 UNC 5 UCCS 4 CU 18 PPCC Unknown Progress Preparing for CDR. Students doing RoverSat and SolarSat Have selected components for WeatherSat. Have not built control circuitry. Not present on telecon. Ozone vs. altitude experiment progressing. Components are almost all accounted for. Starting to begin prototyping. Not present on telecon. Two teams are progressing well. One team is rover that will be remotely controlled and the other will be autonomously controlled. Biggest design issue is the device to open upon landing. There is no chance of launch in April for both teams. Weight will be partially given to UNC. Were given additional weight do to Mines April launch removal. UNC will be allowed no more than 6 pounds. Think they have a workaround for the coronal arcing by sealing the PMT tubes. Said it worked for about 1 hour during vacuum test. Used HOBO pressure logger. Using Ultralife 9V lithium batteries. Get all batteries from batterymart.com Getting ready for CDR. Ordering all components. Pre-design looks good. Confident students will see the program through to completion. Had PDR on March 9, 2004. Had a good turnout and a good set of presentations on the design. Beginning to order hardware. Not present on telecon. For those not present on the telecon, please send me your updates as soon as you can. 7. Other Chris mentioned an opportunity to send some students to a Student conference in New Mexico free of charge on April 19 and 20, 2004.
