「第1期気候変動観測衛星(GCOM-C1)研究公募説明会」のお知らせ 宇宙航空研究開発機構(JAXA)は、 2009年1月13日(火)15:15~18:00 パンパシフィック横浜ベイホテル東急(みなとみらい駅近く) 地下2階「アンバサダーズボールルーム」 に於いて、「第1期気候変動観測衛星(GCOM-C1)研究公募説明会」を開催いたします。 どなたでも参加できますが以下のページから参加登録をお願いしております。 http://www.prime-intl.co.jp/gcom_ws/ (会場HP) http://pphy.co.jp/e-index.htm 本説明会は、JAXAが地球環境変動観測ミッション(GCOM)の第2回研究公募(RA)として予定 している「GCOM-C1に関する初回研究公募」(2009年1月発出予定、提案書の締め切りは2009 年3月末)に関する説明会です。 本説明会において、ミッション概要・研究公募の方針・応募方法等の説明を予定しておりますの で、GCOMGCOM-Cにご興味のある方は是非御参加いただければ幸いです。 -----公募説明会アジェンダ---15:15-15:20 開催主旨説明 15:20-16:50 各分野からGCOM-Cミッションに期待するもの・やるべきこと 全体・陸研究分野 本多嘉明先生(千葉大学) 大気研究分野 久慈誠先生(奈良女子大学) 海洋研究分野 虎谷充浩先生(東海大学) 雪氷研究分野 青木輝夫先生(気象研究所) 応用・モデル研究 鈴木力英先生(JAMSTEC) 17:00-18:00 公募研究の目的と計画・公募手順・質疑応答 --------------(1)GCOM-C1研究公募について 宇宙航空研究開発機構(JAXA)は、GCOMのRAとして、第1期気候変動観測衛星(GCOM-C1) に関する、 ・地球物理量導出のためのアルゴリズム開発、 ・そのための基礎データ取得と検証準備、ならびに ・データの応用に直接関連する研究 についての研究公募を2009年1月(提案書の締め切りは2009年3月末)に予定しております。 なお、昨年度に第1回RAとして第1期水循環変動観測衛星(GCOM-W1)に関する公募を行いま した。 今回の研究公募では、衛星打上げ1年前までの2009年度~4年間の研究を募集し、特に、従来 のADEOS-II/GLIに加えて新たに追加したプロダクトや、従来からの継続でも新たなアイデアで大 きな精度改善が見込まれるプロダクトに対するアルゴリズム開発と、それに必要な基礎データ収 集、に重点を置く予定です。 また、本RA期間の後には、衛星打ち上げ直・前後の3年間において、運用性や検証をより重視し た研究を行うためのRAを実施する計画です。 (2)GCOM-C1/SGLIについて GCOM-C1衛星は、GCOM-C(Climate)シリーズの第1世代として2013年度後半の打上げを予 定しています。 GCOM-C1に搭載される多波長光学放射計(SGLI)は、 ・近紫外~熱赤外の広波長域、 ・250m空間分解能の可視近赤外と500mの熱赤外、 ・1000km以上の観測幅、 ・軌道方向の2方向同時観測、偏光観測等 の特徴的な機能を持ちます。 GCOM-C1ミッションは、このSGLIによって、全球の陸域植生物理量、雲やエアロゾルの特性、沿 岸~外洋の海色や水温、気候変動に影響される雪氷域の高精度な観測を行い、全球規模での 炭素循環と放射収支の理解・予測に貢献することを目指しています。 (3)同時開催「GCOMシンポジウム」 また、同日10:00~15:00、同ホテルで、公開の「GCOMシンポジウム」を開催いたします。 http://www.prime-intl.co.jp/gcom_sympo/ GCOMシンポジウムは、GCOM計画の背景、目的、役割、並びに衛星観測による気候変動研究 の現状などについて、本計画を推進するJAXAおよび関係協力機関の方々による報告を行い、 GCOM計画及び地球環境問題へのご来場の方々のご理解を頂きたく開催いたします。 お時間の許す方は是非こちらも御参加ください。 Meeting to explain about Global Change Observation Mission 2nd Research Announcement (GCOM-C1 first RA) As the second Global Change Observation Mission (GCOM) research announcements (RA), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) will announce the opportunity to conduct researches for the GCOM-C1 mission in Jan. 2009 (Deadline for submitting proposals will be Mar. 31, 2009). This RA emphasizes product development and acquisition of fundamental data for the algorithms (especially for new products, or significant improvement of existing products by new ideas), because the period corresponds to preparation period until 1-year of the GCOM-C1 launch. (2) About GCOM-C1 GCOM-C1 satellite is planned to be launched in the winter period of Japanese Fiscal Year (JFY) 2013. Second generation Global Imager (SGLI) will be carried by the GCOM-C1 and have special features of wide spectral coverage from 380nm to 12um, high spatial resolution of 250m, field of view more than 1000km, two direction simultaneous observation, and polarization observation. GCOM-C1 mission aims to contribute of our knowledge improvement and prediction of global carbon cycle and radiation budget through the high accuracy observation about global vegetation, ocean color, temperature, cloud, aerosol, and polar regions by the SGLI.

The electrical performance test, EMC test and Mechanical environmental test were over in February, 2011. The earthquake occurred on March 11th, 2011 when preparation of thermal vacuum test was performed. Some parts of the walls in the test facility were broken down and the satellite was covered with the dust. It took one month that another test facility (anechoic chamber) restored. GCOM-W1 moved to this facility and made cleaning and test. At the week of June 13th, the satellite came back to the same configuration as before the earthquake. The end-to-end test including satellite and ground system was performed from June 22nd to 24th. 4 Present GCOM-W1 Feature June 13th 5 Future Works and Ground Segment GCOM-W1 Works until Launch - From July the preparation of thermal vacuum test (TVT) will start and the TVT will be performed for almost one month in August. - After TVT additional acoustic test will be performed to confirm the workmanship of the satellite re-assembling work. Then the final electrical performance test will be performed maybe until mid. October. - The pre-shipment review is planned in late October.
