Спутник связи. Galaxy 15. [Редактировать]

Аппарат был сконструированн Orbital Sciences Corporation, и базируется на платформе Star-2. Контракт был подписанн в 2001,  и состоял из поставки трех идентичных спутников (Galaxe 12,14 и 15). В 2003 контракт был изменен с целью добавления дополнительных транспондеров для поддержания US Government's Geostationary Communications и Control Segment(GCCS) Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) для US Federal Aviation Administration навигационной программы.

Компания Intelsat объявила о расширении своего контракта с Starz. Согласно новому договору оператор спутниковой связи предоставит провайдеру:
- возможность пользоваться комбинированным решением, которое будет включать как возможности широкого вещания, так и услугу IntelsatOne, которая в настоящее время обеспечивает передачу 49 каналов;
- окажет Starz услуги по обеспечению резервных каналов передачи данных при помощи телепорта в Колорадо.
