Спутник ДЗЗ. Himawari 9. [Редактировать]

В июле 2009, JMA заключила контракт с Mitsubishi Electric Corporation на разработку двух идентичных КА Himawari-8 и -9. Cтруктура аппарата следующая:

Система ориентации и стабилизации, в составе:
  • Сенсоры: Солнечный датчики, звездные датчики, IRU (инерционные датчики), гироскопы
  • Система коррекции: на основе маховиков
Электрическая подсистема КА:
  • генерирует энергию в объеме 2.6 киловатт, с 100 вольтами, использует литиево-ионные батареи.
Система управления: соединяется с основным инструментом КА (AHI) используя SpaceWire I/F и обрабатывает данные от инструмента, затем данные посылаются на Землю через Ka систему передачи. Система управления также соединена с системами ориентации и стабилизации и посылает им команды.
Система связи:
  • Ku диапазон для передачи телеметрии и команд TT&C services. 
  • Ka диапазон передачи информации от инструментов.

SEDA:  система измерения радиации, идентичная европейской системе, установленной на аппаратах навигационной системы Галилео.

DCS: система хранения данных.

AHI: AHI это ABI (Advanced Baseline Imager) инструмент, сконструированный и разработанный компанией Exelis Inc. of Rochester, N.Y., и похожий на тот, который установлен на аппараты серии GOES-R (заказчики NASA и NOAA). В ноябре 2009, Mitsubishi выбрала Exelis (бывшую ITT Space Systems) of Rochester, N.Y. для построения системы получения информации для двух КА, Himawari-8 and -9, of JMA. ABI и AHI оба имеют 16 спектральных каналов в видимом и инфракрасном диапазоне спектра. Отличием между ABI и AHI являются:

ABI включает в состав 1.38 µm канал для определения пылевых частиц, а в AHI он заменен на 0.51 µm канал (для получения изображения).
