Сингапурская Kacific Broadband Satellites, которая ориентируется на Азиатско-Тихоокеанский регион, объявила о том, что она предпродала уже около 70 процентов емкости от своего первого космического аппарата Kacific 1. Японская SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation и сингапурская Kacific Broadband Satellites заказала у компании Боинг очередной космический аппарат на 702 платформе. КА получил наименование JCSAT-18, а на его борту будет установлено две раздельные полезные нагрузки (JCSAT-18 и Kacific-1).
