Спутник ФКИ. Mars Science Laboratory (MSL). [Редактировать]

Марсианская научная лаборатория  — миссия НАСА, в ходе выполнения которой на Марс был успешно доставлен и эксплуатируется марсоход третьего поколения «Кьюриосити». Марсоход представляет собой автономную химическую лабораторию в несколько раз больше и тяжелее предыдущих марсоходов «Спирит» и «Оппортьюнити». Аппарат должен будет за несколько месяцев пройти от 5 до 20 километров и провести полноценный анализ марсианских почв и компонентов атмосферы. Для выполнения контролируемой и более точной посадки использовались вспомогательные ракетные двигатели. Запуск «Кьюриосити» к Марсу состоялся 26 ноября 2011 года, мягкая посадка на поверхность Марса — 6 августа 2012 года.

Предполагаемый срок службы на Марсе — один марсианский год (686 земных суток). MSL — часть долговременной программы НАСА по исследованию Марса роботизированными зондами Mars Exploration Program. В проекте помимо НАСА участвуют также Калифорнийский технологический институт и Лаборатория реактивного движения. Руководитель проекта — Дуг Маккистион (Doug McCuistion), сотрудник НАСА из отдела изучения других планет. Полная стоимость проекта MSL составляет примерно 2,5 миллиарда долларов. Специалисты американского космического агентства НАСА решили отправить марсоход в кратер Гейла. В огромной воронке хорошо просматриваются глубинные слои марсианского грунта, раскрывающие геологическую историю красной планеты. Название «Кьюриосити» было выбрано в 2009 году среди вариантов, предложенных школьниками, путём голосования в сети Интернет. Среди других вариантов были Adventure («Приключение»), Amelia, Journey («Путешествие»), Perception («Восприятие»), Pursuit («Стремление»), Sunrise («Восход»), Vision («Видение»), Wonder («Чудо»).

Результаты бурения марсоходом CuriosityСпециалисты НАСА успешно провели обновление программного обеспечения марсохода вернулся к своей работе. В новой версии программисты добавили дополнительную защиту от различных отказов, выявленных на испытаниях копии марсохода которая осталась на Земле. Была усовершенствована программа планирования маршрута аппарата. Кроме того, в систему навигации Curiosity была добавлена улучшенная версия система анализа силы и направления скольжения по грунту во время буровых операций.

62016-07-08. NASA устранило последствия технического сбоя марсохода Curiosity.
Согласно сообщению НАСА, техническим специалистам агентства удалось вывести марсоход из безопасного режима в который тот перешел в начале этого месяца. В настоящее время аппарат снова взаимодействует с диспетчерами и его состояние стабильно. Технический персонал NASA сумел осуществить полную проверку всех систем марсохода Curiosity и нашли наиболее вероятную причину сбоя аппарата. Согласно обнародованным данным, ею стал сбой в работе программного обеспечения которое занимается копированием фотографий из памяти камеры в файловую систему ровера. Как пояснили в НАСА, процесс передачи данных будет изменен таким образом, что он не будет использовать данный алгоритм до тех пор пока в агентстве не найдут решение. 82018-01-23. Компания Thales Alenia Space обнародовала данные о новой лазерной установке марсохода.
Компания Thales Alenia Space объявила о том, что космическое агентство США приступило к производству марсохода Mars-2020 и интеграции в его состав научной полезной нагрузки. Миссия Mars-2020 будет иметь своей задачей продолжение научной работы которую проводит марсоход Curiosity, который исследует кратер Gale уже на протяжении пяти с половиной лет. Внешне новый марсходо будет напоминать своего предшественника, однако в его состав будет включено ряд инновационных элементов, включая и приборы которые ранее не посылались на Марс.
Относительно собственного участия в проекте компания отметила, что она будет работать по контракту с космическим агентством Франции и, в основном, будет заниматься созданием системы лазерных измерений. Новый прибор получит наименование SuperCam и он будет иметь в качестве прототипа уже разработанный аналог в виде установленного на марсоходе Curiosity прибора ChemCam. В целом создаваемый прибор будет заниматься лазерной спектроскопией и, как ожидают его создатели, получаемые с него данные позволят получить косвенные признаки наличия или отсутствия жизни на планете.
Лазер SuperCam будет производить в десять раз больше импульсов чем ChemCam, что позволит ему достичь показателя в 1000 импульсов за один цикл работы. При этом в Thales отметили, что с точки зрения габаритов оба прибора будут являться идентичными. К своим будущим достижениям компания также отнесла и то, что новый прибор будет разработан за три года вместо десяти лет, как это принято в отрасли.
