Спутник ДЗЗ. Quakesat. [Редактировать]

На QuakeSat выполняются научные исследования по обнаружению признаков землетрясений. Спутник был изготовлен в Лаборатории разработки космических систем Стэндфордского университета (США) под руководством профессора Роберта Твиггса (Robert Twiggs). На QuakeSat планируется проверить теорию о том , что в преддверии крупных землетрясений в районе стихийного бедствия регистрируются магнитные поля крайне низкой частоты (КНЧ лежит в диапазоне от 5 Гц до 2 кГц). Для регистрации этих предшественников землетрясения на QuakeSat установлен основной научный прибор-магнитометр.
