MOSCOW, October 2. /TASS/. Kiev must pay the price for carrying out strikes in the Black Sea and is already doing so, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

He also stressed that Russia needs lasting peace with Ukraine, not a ceasefire.

Ukraine has shown no inclination to reach comprehensive agreements, while piecemeal arrangements cannot bring a peaceful settlement any closer: "The Kiev regime has shown no inclination to reach any comprehensive agreements. Russia is continuing its special military operation and considers it important to cut off supplies of ammunition and other equipment to the Ukrainian armed forces through the Black Sea: "We are continuing the special military operation. It is very important for us to completely stop military equipment, ammunition and fuel from being supplied to Ukraine by sea. That is what we are doing now and will continue to do."
