MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. During an investigation into the illegal activities of Mexican drug cartels, US law enforcement agencies obtained information about their cooperation with representatives of the Kiev regime, the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said in a press release.

TASS has compiled the SVR’s key statements.

While investigating the illegal activities of Mexican drug cartels, US law enforcement agencies have obtained information about their cooperation with the Kiev regime: "According to information coming to the SVR, there is a new reason to panic in Kiev. The Ukrainian presidential office has learned that, in the course of a probe into illegal activities of Mexican drug cartels, US law enforcement agencies obtained information about their cooperation with representatives of the Zelensky regime."

The US has found that Mexican criminal groups have been sending militants to Ukraine to receive training in the assembly and combat use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs): "The Americans have uncovered that criminal groups have, for a long time, been sending their militants to Ukraine to train them in the assembly and combat use of drones. At least 80 individuals have been identified who underwent such training within the ranks of the Ukrainian armed forces."

"Payment for this 'education' was funneled to officials close to [Vladimir] Zelensky, using funds generated by drug traffickers from the sale of illicit substances in the US."

Kiev’s concerns

Kiev recognizes that the presence of trained drone operators within drug cartels poses risks to US officers involved in combating drug trafficking along the border with Mexico: "The Ukrainian presidential office is aware that the presence of trained FPV drone operators within the ranks of drug cartels poses risks to the lives of US security officers involved in anti-drug operations along the border with Mexico."

Risks for Zelensky

Zelensky’s cooperation with drug cartels "could become yet another ‘nail in the coffin’ of his political career."

The Kiev regime’s cooperation with drug cartels, combined with attacks on Russian oil refineries, could push the US past the breaking point and lead to a refusal to assist Zelensky: "This fact comes alongside the abysmal corruption of Ukraine’s gauleiter, his offensive behavior and his disregard for Washington’s more than obvious warnings against targeting Russian oil refineries, as well as his refusal to hold an election. All this, Zelensky’s team fears, may be the last straw for the White House and force it to cancel all support to Kiev’s bloody clown."

Situation with drug cartels

The Kiev regime is stepping up its cooperation with Mexico’s largest drug cartels and facilitating the growth of drug transit from Latin America to Europe, the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported on June 29.

According to its press release, Ukrainian ports in the Odessa region have become a key transshipment hub for drug trafficking from Latin America to Europe via Poland, Moldova, and Romania.

A video posted on social media earlier allegedly showed Latin American mercenaries from Mexico, Colombia, and Panama serving in the Ukrainian armed forces in a wooded area.

One of the mercenaries shouted a slogan in support of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and the Los Chapitos group.

According to the Milenio newspaper, which cited national intelligence documents, drug cartels are sending their fighters to Ukraine, where they participate in combat operations under the guise of volunteers to learn how to operate FPV drones.

The newspaper emphasized that members of the Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation cartels have begun using drones with fiber-optic cables, following the example of Ukrainian servicemen.

This control technology makes the drones immune to the radio signal jammers used by the Mexican security forces.

The Mexican authorities lack the necessary technology and an effective legal framework to combat the drones that drug cartels use to attack civilians, conduct espionage, and smuggle drugs, security experts interviewed by the El Universal newspaper reported.

According to a video released on September 14 by the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) branch of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), weapons and ammunition supplied by the West to Ukraine end up in the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
