The Surge capped their 2026 campaign by falling 96-80 to the host Saskatoon Mamba at Merlis Belsher Place on Monday.

Sean ‘Rugzy’ Miller-Moore led Calgary with 26 points. Armani Chaney recorded 19 and Sincere Carry added 17.

The Surge are missing the playoffs for the first time in four years since the franchise was relocated from Guelph, Ont.

The club dug itself what proved to be an insurmountable hole by starting this year with 10 straight losses. But they did put together a stretch of six wins in seven games to get in the playoff hunt.

The CEBL post-season begins Thursday with conference semifinals: No. 1 seed Vancouver vs. Edmonton, and Winnipeg vs. Saskatoon in the West; and No. 1 seed Scarborough vs. Niagara, and Brampton vs. Ottawa in the East.
