Married At First Sight's Billy Vincent is not having much luck at the moment. 

After recently getting punched unconscious during an argument with his housemate, the reality star had a close call with a snake over the weekend. 

On Monday, the 28-year-old shared a video of the reptile lunging at him on his front porch to his Instagram page, but managed to make light of the potentially dangerous situation.

'I just woke up and look what's outside my window,' he said.

Billy then took a cheeky jab at his friend and co-star Mick Gould, by comparing the snake to the tradesman's severed finger. 

Captioning the video 'Mick it's your mate', he joked: 'Hello, he doesn't have a tail it's just like a little numb, you look like Mick, Mick's little finger that he got cut off.'

As the snake slowly slithered down the balcony railing onto the ground, the situation became more serious when the reptile appeared to lung at the star.

'Where are you going?' Billy said.

The snake could be seen moving into a striking position, before Billy suddenly gasped and jumped back in surprise.

Thankfully the giant snake soon slithered away into a nearby drain pipe, but Billy was not in the clear yet. 

Meanwhile, Mick did not appear quite as pleased with his co-star's sense of humour, and sent back an image of himself holding up his severed middle finger.
