The Married At First Sight stars have both publicly admitted there is some unresolved 'beef' between them.  

And on Wednesday, Mike Gunner and Billy Vincent confirmed they will step into the boxing ring next month and battle it out.

'To be brutally honest, if I was to punch somebody in the face from MAFS, it would be Mike!' Billy said on social media when news of the boxing match broke.

'Stars from Married At First Sight Michael 'The Mongoose' Gunner & Billy 'Kill-Bill' Vincent will step in the ring on the 24th of August,' a promo for the fight read on Box Hyphen's Facebook page.

'We are Locked and Loaded,' it stated about the upcoming charity boxing match fight to be held in Brisbane.  

Shortly after the post went viral, Billy shared a video on his Instagram story that revealed why he chose to step into he ring with his former MAFS contestant.   

'Me and Mr Gunner are going to be participating in a celebrity boxing match, raising money for living.org [a men's mental health charity],' Billy said. 

'To be brutally honest, if I was to punch somebody in the face from MAFS, it would be Mike. 

'Me and Mike have some unfinished issues and a little bit of murky water between us, so definitely want to give it a little bit of clarity. 

'Nothing better than figuring out problems than in a boxing ring - so Mr Gunner, I'll be seeing you,' he said. 

In a podcast with Mike Goldman, which was shared to his Instagram, Mike (Gunner) also confirmed he would be fighting Billy next month. 

While the 43-year-old confessed he didn't have any person issues with Billy, he said the 28-year-old had spoken out against him on radio, which disappointed him. 

'I thought we were friends, and he said some things that I thought were a little bit uncool and a little bit unhelpful,' Mike said. 

'I was a bit taken aback by it because I'd been a bit of a supporter of this guy and I thought we were pals.

'There's nothing worse than someone saying something about you, and then you realise it's someone you thought was a friend, it rocks you,' he said.

Mike went on to say Billy had allegedly made the comments on radio during a particularly difficult time when he was 'copping it' in the media.

'I kept that in the back of my mind, and there he was saying I'll fight him, and I thought well, I suppose I do have a bit of beef,' he said. 

The fight is set to take place at the Brisbane Venue XCARGO on August 24.
