Married At First Sight's Billy Vincent has claimed he 'hooked up' with Lauren Huntriss after filming the show earlier this year. 

The 27-year-old barista said things started when he had a 'bit of a flirt' with the  makeup artist, 32, at the reunion dinner party, which was filmed in January. 

'You didn't see us having a bit of a flirt [on the show],' he told Hot91.1's Dave, Sam and Ash on Monday, before adding that Lauren 'is a lovely girl'. 

When asked if he hooked up with Lauren after meeting at the reunion, Billy replied: 'It could've happened... It could've happened. She's a sweetheart.

'We're not together [now] or anything like that, I've got to decompress from the whole show.'

Billy clarified to Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday that he and Lauren 'had a thing' in early February, but things didn't work out due to the fact they live long distance. 

'Me and Loz had a brief thing. We live a distance from one another but we have awesome banter. She really helped me through some tough times,' Billy said. 

Confirming the short-lived romance, Lauren added: 'It is true, we did hit it off at the reunion but they obviously chose not to air that [on the show]. They clearly wanted to focus on the drama and violence. 

'Billy's an awesome guy, he's got a great sense of humour, he's sociable and a little bit awkward, which I find very endearing.

'Whatever has happened since the show is nobody's business but ours.' 

Lauren was paired with 29-year-old virgin Matthew Bennett on Married At First Sight.

She eventually took his virginity, before they broke up after Matthew confessed he wasn't physically attracted to her. 

Meanwhile, Billy's spouse was 25-year-old cosmetic nurse Susie Bradley, who is now dating disgraced NRL star Todd Carney.
