They say there's no such thing as the perfect golfer but over three rounds of complete domination at the 101st USPGA Championship, the brilliant, seemingly nerveless Brooks Koepka has given a pretty good impression.

Combining sheer brute force with a gossamer touch and the mental strength of a born major winner, the 28 year old Floridian who's already ripped up the history book will surely complete a successful defence of the Wanamaker Trophy on Sunday.

Koepka clearly wasn't at his best during a third round 70 on Saturday and certainly not close to the breathtaking opening rounds of 63 and 65 that set a new standard for major championship golf. But these are the days that tell you more about a player's pedigree – and every time Koepka was questioned, he provided an emphatic response.
