Zabina Zimmermann scored in overtime to give Cape Elizabeth a 2-1 win over Wells in a Class B South field hockey game Wednesday in Wells.

Vienna Cardinali staked Wells (2-1) to an early lead. Wylie Stoecklein got the tying goal.

Ceci Burch made seven saves for the Capers (3-1), while Carys Ramsey of Wells turned aside 13 shots.

YARMOUTH 6, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Vivienne Corriveau scored two goals, and Maya Nasveschuk added a goal and two assists to lead the Clippers (5-0) past the Raiders (1-3) at Yarmouth.

Delia Rich had a goal and an assist, and Evie Lowell and Maddie Robson also scored. Julie Nasveschuk and Colette Herer each got an assist.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/NYA 1, YORK 0: Emma Elgee scored an unassisted goal late in the first quarter, and visiting Gray-New Gloucester (1-3) made it stand up to defeat York (1-3).

Mallory Kulas stopped two shots for the Patriots, who held an 8-3 edge in shots. York’s Sarah Orso made seven saves.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2, BOOTHBAY 1: The Phoenix (4-0) beat the Seahawks (3-1) in a showdown of Class C South contenders in Jay.

Alaina Kachnovich assisted on both Spruce Mountain goals, which were scored by Quinn Johnson and Maddie Grimaldi. Kyleigh Marcotte was strong in goal with 16 saves.

Mariah Smith scored Boothbay’s goal, and Abigail LockeSmith stopped 14 shots.

CAMDEN HILLS 2, BANGOR 1: Goals from Alison Sylvester and Alanna Smith boosted the Windjammers (5-0) past the Rams (3-2) in Rockport.

Carly Fitzpatrick had an assist for Camden Hills, which outshot Bangor 13-1.

The Rams’ goal was scored by Abygail Folsom off an assist from Ava Fortine.

LEWISTON 2, BRUNSWICK 1: A pair of first-half goals gave the Blue Devils (3-2) all the scoring they needed to take down the Dragons (1-3) in Lewiston.

Valerie Potvin scored Lewiston’s first goal off an assist from Charlotte Crowley, then Paige Taylor set up Lila Theriault to give the Blue Devils a 2-0 lead.

Grace Roak scored an unassisted goal for Brunswick, and Isabel Troche made 19 saves.

THORNTON ACADEMY 8, MARSHWOOD 0: Cami Sibille netted four goals, Ocee LeMarre finished with two goals and assist, and the Golden Trojans (3-1) rolled past the Hawks (4-1) in Saco.

Avery Root opened the scoring and Bella Jung also scored during a dominant first half in which Thornton built a 6-0 lead.

Shyla McVeigh and Addie Lamey each had two assists.

GORHAM 5, WESTBROOK 1: Moises Ntango scored three goals and Corbin Wilson made nine saves as the Rams (3-1) defeated the Blue Blazes (2-1) in Westbrook.

Ty Caron and Will Andreason each chipped in with a goal for Gorham, which is ranked No. 5 in the Varsity Maine poll.

Mechac Boyilimpo scored for Westbrook, and Ahmed Al Obaidi had 11 saves.

MARSHWOOD 5, MASSABESIC 1: Ned Grieg scored two goals to help Marshwood (2-2) pull away against Massabesic (1-3) in Waterboro.

Sam Gennaro, Finn Parker and Drake Anderson also scored for the Hawks, who held the Mustangs to four shots.

DEERING 1, PORTLAND 0: Nathan Hebert converted Deering’s lone shot on goal and Linden McAuliffe made 11 saves as the Rams (4-0) beat the Bulldogs (1-3) at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Portland dominated the first half, forcing McAuliffe to make nine saves, several on outstretched dives. Deering, though, took the lead in the second half. Forlan Kindomba’s midfield through pass set up Hebert for a contested break in. Hebert got his shoulder past the Portland defender and slotted a left-footed shot into the right side of the goal.

BIDDEFORD 3, FALMOUTH 0: Hammod Al Sultani scored two goals, Alex Keto had two assists, and the Tigers (2-2) downed the Navigators (1-3) in Biddeford.

Luzizila Makengo also scored. Tyler Pelletier made six saves in the shutout.

THORNTON ACADEMY 2, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Melvin Moyemade converted a penalty kick with 11:57 remaining to cap a comeback that lifted the Golden Trojans (3-0) over the Red Riots (2-2) at South Portland.

After Mick Ngai gave South Portland a 1-0 lead with 29:19 to play on a shot from the top of the box, Matthias Sunderland tied it a little over 11 minutes later, putting in the rebound of a Santiago Macias shot from in front.

Jude Charltray made nine saves for the Red Riots. Thornton’s Lucas Stolf stopped four shots.
