The genome sequence of a mirid bug, Harpocera thoracica (Fallen, 1807) (Hemiptera: Miridae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly from an individual Harpocera thoracica (mirid bug; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hemiptera; Miridae). The primary assembly has a total length of 998.73 megabases. Most of the primary assembly (99.27%) is scaffolded into 16 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 18.52 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
