The genome sequence of the Long-tailed Blue, Lampides boeticus (Linnaeus, 1767) (Lepidoptera: Lycaenidae) [version 1; peer review: 1 approved]

We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of Lampides boeticus (Long-tailed Blue; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Lycaenidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 350.56 megabases and 323.42 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (99.65%) was scaffolded into 25 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.34 kilobases. This work is part of Project Psyche, a collaborative programme generating genomes for European butterflies and moths.
