When it’s time to shop for a new motorcycle, it is easy to get tempted by a snazzy silhouette, cool colorway or monstrous motor.
But when you come back down to Earth, you realize what probably makes much more sense is a smartly designed, rider-friendly bike that can handle just about anything you throw at it.
The 2027 NC750X DCT hits dealers next month, starting at $9,499 — a competitive entry point for a bike this versatile.HondaThat’s where Honda’s admittedly less glamorous NC750X DCT comes in, threading the needle between daily commuter and weekend adventure bike, with loads of convenient features that make life easier.
For 2027, its utilitarian attitude has finally been met in the US market by an equally low-profile colorway: Matte Mud Gray, which actually looks much better than it sounds.
With Sport, Rain, Standard, and two customizable ride modes, the NC750X DCT adapts to nearly any road condition — and can be outfitted with side cases for more ambitious adventures.HondaIt’s also way cooler than 2026’s Matte Pearl White, in my humble opinion, bringing an already compelling bike that much closer to perfect.
Several winning qualities carry over, led by the 745cc liquid-cooled four-stroke engine boasting generous low- to mid-range torque and five ride modes (Sport, Rain, Standard and two customizable ones), letting you rip around however you like.
The NC750X DCT pairs a 5-inch color TFT screen with Honda RoadSync, bringing Bluetooth-connected navigation and audio to the handlebars.HondaThose modes are accessible via the 5-inch full-color TFT display, while Honda RoadSync ties your phone in via Bluetooth for navigation and music on the go.
As the name makes clear, the bike packs Honda’s automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT), which lets you change gears at the push of a button or lets the bike handle shifts automatically.
All that said, the NC750X DCT’s most distinctive trait is, of course, the lockable 23-liter frunk, which offers enough space to store most full-face helmets, plus other essentials.
The NC750X DCT’s most distinctive feature is a lockable 23-liter front storage compartment — large enough to swallow most full-face helmets.HondaThe frunk may simply be the happy byproduct of another cool feature: the placement of the fuel tank under the seat, which lowers the center of gravity, boosting stability and rider confidence at speed, during tighter turns and even simply backing into a parking space.
Together with a 31.6-inch seat height, capable suspension, linked ABS, and traction-boosting Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), this 497-pound warrior makes this 497-pound warrior just a bit easier to handle.
The 2027 Honda NC750 DCT rolls into dealerships next month at a starting price of $9,499.
