This historical publication presents statistics on the characteristics of the housing inventory as of the end of 1956. Volume III of the National Housing Inventory consists of ten parts, the first presenting statistics of the U.S., and the remaining nine parts on Atlanta, Los Angeles, Boston, New York-Northeastern New Jersey, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Seattle. This Part 1 publication includes information on the United States and Regions.
