СпутникиРНSpaceXРоскосмосNASAI've used Samsung Health for years and for the most part, greatly enjoyed it. However in recent years, I am seeing features vanish left and right. The biggest lately has been synchronous workouts between phone and watch. No matter the workout, I am now prompted "Start workout on watch?" for everything. Claim is that starting it on watch gathers more data and saves watch power. This wasn't always the case and creates bad scenarios.For example, biking: a quick glance at your workout (incl. speed, heart rate, mapping, distance, etc.) with your phone mounted to the handlebars is significantly safer than that of removing the hand with your watch to check heart rate (and only heart rate unless sacrificing your other hand to change screens). With the mount, your hands are both on the handlebar and your eyes can clearly still see the road ahead. Your watch, not so much... Now before you "keep your eyes on the road", keep in mind, some have mirrors attached to their handlebars in which case also plays better to the phone side being better as it's even faster to check compared to the watch as both are relatively close to the other.Another example is at home, I do have various weights. I normally would prop my phone up with the stand on my case, start it, and use the dashboard to monitor everything at a glance during and between sets. Here recently, automatic detection was disabled if choosing to start workout on phone. On top of this, if on a off day (no work), I choose to do one of these exercises after my Sleep Mode kicks in, I don't get the workout screen, but rather the Sleep Mode screen. This means that if I choose watch, I must swipe off the Sleep Mode screen and then tap on the workout (and that is also assuming music isn't playing as music tends to be the first option) to view anything. This is such a massive downgrade....I used to love the features that Samsung had over other companies. Lately, here is yet another example of Samsung dumbing down their apps and products and this greatly saddens me.... As a long-time loyal customer, I am really starting to think about considering other options. Samsung, please undo this mess you've been creating over the past several years....
