СпутникиРНSpaceXРоскосмосNASAHi everyone,We are working on an integration that allows users to upload AutoCAD DWG files directly to Autodesk Forma through FME Flow.Our main challenge is ensuring that each upload is performed using the Autodesk identity of the user initiating the upload, rather than a shared or predefined Autodesk account. Our current workflowOur current setup is:AutoCAD → FME Flow REST API → FME workspace → Autodesk FormaA user initiates the upload from AutoCAD. The DWG file and its parameters are passed to FME Flow through the REST API. The FME workspace processes the DWG other data transformations, before uploading the resulting file to a specific folder in a Forma project. What we have triedAutodesk Docs Web Connections in FME FlowWe currently use an Autodesk Docs OAuth Web Connection in FME Flow together with the AutodeskDocsConnector transformer.This workflow is already working and successfully uploads the processed DWG files to Forma. We have also tested selecting different Web Connections through a published AUTODESK_CONNECTION parameter.However, the Autodesk identity used for the upload is tied to the selected Web Connection. We would prefer not to create and maintain a separate Web Connection for every user. What would be the best approach for our use case? Ideally, the workflow would be:AutoCAD user authenticates → access token is passed securely to FME Flow → FME processes the DWG → Forma records the upload under the correct Autodesk user.What would you recommend as the best-practice solution? Are there any examples, reference implementations or known limitations we should consider?Thanks in advance for your help!
