Gholap, who produced the 2011 Marathi film Deool, shared the video on his Instagram account on 8 October 2026, stating that Patekar was unable to attend the festival. The video is unrelated to CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke or the protest at Jantar Mantar. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
After reviewing the video with Google’s NotebookLM tool, we found that Nana Patekar speaks in Marathi, apologises to Abhijeet, and regrets not attending an event. Addressing Abhijeet, he says, “It was great working with you in the film Deool.”
Deool is a 2011 Marathi film in which Nana Patekar acted, and Abhijeet Gholap produced it. This suggests that Patekar was referring to Abhijeet Gholap in the video, not CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke. Patekar also praises Sonali Kulkarni, who acted in the film.
