JetBlue customers can travel first class on domestic flights later this year.

The airline, a leading carrier at Logan Airport, has revealed details about BlueFirst, it’s new domestic first-class experience rolling out in late 2026.

“Domestic first class has become easy to predict. We think it’s time for a fresh take,” said Joanna Geraghty, chief executive officer of JetBlue, in a statement. “Customers are increasingly looking for more premium experiences, and BlueFirst gives them an elevated experience that feels distinctly JetBlue, with thoughtful touches, caring service and great value.”

BlueFirst seats are in a two-by-two configuration and made of flex foam from luxury mattress company Tuft & Needle. The seats, located in the first few rows, offer five inches of recline and up to seven inches of additional legroom compared to JetBlue’s main seats.

Each seat includes a 13.3-inch seatback screen with Bluetooth connectivity, and passengers can use AirPods or other wireless headphones. There is free high-speed WiFi and in-seat power (AC, USB-A, USB-C). What’s more, passengers can order meals, drinks, and products straight from the seatback screen.

On flights 899 miles or longer, travelers will be served an entrée, side, and dessert in a “custom-bento-inspired box.” The menu will include sweet or savory crepes and sesame noodles with beef or tofu. Rotating premium snacks by brands such as Sockerbit, Tosi, and Cape Cod Chips will also be available.

Flyers will sip sommelier-selected wines from New York’s Parcelle, specialty coffee from Cometeer and Joe Coffee, and premium Smith Teamaker teas. Passengers will also create custom cocktails from the interactive “Mixologist Mode” on their seatback screens. The drinks will be served in premium glassware from Fable and placed on coasters created by New York City illustrator Danielle Rose Fisher.

Other perks for BlueFirst customers include priority check-in, two free checked bags, dedicated overhead bin space, Group 1 boarding access, and no change or cancellation fees.

“Traditional first-class food and beverage can feel stuck in the past. BlueFirst is our way of refreshing the experience for today’s traveler,” said Geraghty. “From creating your own cocktail and ordering right from your seatback screen, to a thoughtfully crafted seat that offers responsive comfort, we’re making the experience more personal, modern and fun. Premium should feel special, not stuffy.”

Initial BlueFirst routes and booking availability will be announced later this year.

Last month, JetBlue debuted its second BlueHouse lounge at Logan Airport after opening its first at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in December. The 12,000-square-foot Boston-inspired space in Terminal C opened on Aug. 27. BlueFirst travelers can access the lounge by purchasing a day pass.
