Logan Airport will welcome a new low-cost carrier this spring.
Breeze Airways will begin nonstop daily service between Boston and Myrtle Beach on May 4, the airline announced Tuesday. Boston is one of four new destinations for the airline in 2027. The others are Buffalo, N.Y.; Latrobe, Pa.; and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
The Boston route is part of a 22-route expansion for the airline in 2027, 11 of which are to Myrtle Beach. The airline’s boost in seats to the popular South Carolina beach destination will increase by 70 percent next year, according to the company, making it the largest carrier at Myrtle Beach International Airport in terms of destinations and seats, according to the airline.

Myrtle Beach attracts more than 17 million travelers per year, according to visitmyrtlebeach.com, due to its 60 miles of beaches, 90 golf courses, 1.2-mile boardwalk along the Atlantic Ocean, restaurants, live music, festivals, and more.
“Every route we add to our network starts with the same question: where can
Breeze’s direct service bring travelers a convenience they don’t already enjoy
today?” said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze, in a statement. “These new routes and destinations now bring Breeze’s high-value, low-cost service to 95 cities, making affordable travel to great destinations more convenient than ever.”
The Boston to Myrtle Beach route continues on to Akron-Canton Airport in Ohio. It is a “BreezeThru” route for the airline, which the company describes as “one stop, no change of plane service.” Passengers will board in Boston, fly to Myrtle Beach, stay on the plane, and continue on to Akron-Canton. The airline has about 80 BreezeThru routes, according to a representative.
